Maka Zai
With a White Rum made with sugarcane harvested from the banks of the Panchganga River in Maharashtra, and a Gold Rum with cane spirit from Punjab, Maka Zai’s rums are truly homegrown. Part of Stilldistilling Spirits which was set up in 2020 by Kasturi Banerjee, Maka Zai is blended and bottled in Goa. The bottles pay homage to the coastal state, with the emblem of the native Olive Ridley Turtles on the labels.

“Maka Zai means ‘I want’ in the Konkani language, and it sums up what we said when we first discovered their rums. Speaking to the Stilldistilling Spirits founder Kasturi and the brand ambassador Abhirup, their passion for their products was palpable and further cemented our decision to bring Maka Zai on board.”
