Goenchi Feni

While Goa sparks thoughts of beautiful beaches, there are treasures to be found inland too - like the Goenchi Feni distillery in Sanvordem.

Founded by siblings Yash and Tulika, they wanted to tap into the gold mine of their family farm, and began distilling cashew feni and coconut feni. This native Goan liquor has been distilled in India for centuries, and Goenchi are one of the flagbearers of this Indian heritage spirit in the 21st century.

“Yash and Tulika’s family connection to Goa runs deep. In fact, their 115-room family mansion is the oldest building in Goa, and we were honoured to be invited there. Their two feni varieties are distilled in small batches in 100% copper pot stills, and are beautiful products that honour the land and the people of Goa.”
