Terai Gin
Distilled in Rajasthan and named after lush marshland at the foothills of the Himalayas, Terai Gin was founded by fourth-generation distiller Shekhar Swarup.
Embracing the grain-to-glass journey, Terai uses a house- made rice grain spirit and infuses it with eleven botanicals including tulsi and almonds. The result? A London Dry-style gin with a true spirit of craft and a unique, distinctly Indian flavour profile.
Before the pour
“From stoppers crafted in the ‘toy town’ of Karnataka and a label inspired by designs on vintage Indian coins, to their bottles being modelled on pillars in ancient Indian architecture, the essence of India is present in every element of Terai gin. Including, of course, the taste itself. During our visit bartender Keshav, encouraged by export manager Arjun, outgunned big screen bartenders to show off four different ways of drinking Terai.”
