Charosa Vineyards
Spread over 230 acres, the Charosa Vineyards in Nashik are truly vast. The area offers an ideal foundation for cultivating vineyards, with optimal soil and a friendly climate to craft exceptional wines. The winery is now part of the Grover Zampa group and plans are in hand for a significant expansion.
As the first winemakers in India to use open tank fermenters, Charosa Vineyards are putting in the graft to ensure their wines are deservedly world-class.
Before the pour
“We weren’t sure what to expect as we drove towards modest, unpainted concrete buildings at Charosa Vineyards. You’d never have guessed what was inside: imposing, gleaming stainless steel tanks that produce half a million litres of wine annually. And just as impressive are the wines they produce. Head Winemaker Abhijit kindly interrupted his Diwali celebrations to take us through a tasting journey: from tanks, through barrels to bottles.”
