The nose on this whisky is heavy, thickly oaked and complex. Some curious barley-sugar notes here shrouded in soft smoke. Big, but seductively gentle, too.

This whisky opens with a rich, oaky nose layered with barley-sugar sweetness and soft smoke. On the palate, it builds from gentle to bold, as peat mingles with unexpected sherry trifle notes and a deep chocolate fudge core. The finish is dry with peat and oak, balanced by molasses sweetness and lifted by lively spice, making for a complex and satisfying dram.
